
Germany winger, Leroy Sane, has left the national teamβs camp for personal reasons, the German football association confirmed on Friday.
Sane came off the bench in Germanyβs goalless draw with France in the UEFA Nations League opener on Thursday, but will be absent when they host Peru in a friendly at Hoffenheimβs Rhein-Neckar-Arena in Sinsheim on Sunday.
Although further details were not disclosed, Bild reported that Saneβs girlfriend is expecting and thus the winger was allowed to leave the camp.
Sane last started a competitive game on August 5, when he came off at half-time of Manchester Cityβs Community Shield victory over Chelsea.
The 22-year-old was dropped from Cityβs matchday squad in the victory over Newcastle United on September 1.
He has won 11 caps for Germany since his debut in a friendly against France on November 13, 2015.
