Osun election: Oyetola receives Certificate of Return from INEC

Osun State Governor-elect, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, on Wednesday received the Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The certificate was given to him at the INEC office in Osogbo, the Osun State capital by the Director of Legal Services, Mr Oluwatoyin Babalola, who represented the Chairman of the commission, Prof Mahmood Yakubu.

Oyetola, was declared the winner of the election he contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.

He defeated the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

The State Returning Officer, Prof. Joseph Adeola Afuwape said Oyetola garnered 255,505 votes to defeat Senator Ademola Adeleke who polled 255,023 votes.
