OMG! Food Vendor Commits SuicideBy Jumping Into River Niger Over Alleged Witchcraft Accusation

A 31-year-old food vendor accused of being a witch, allegedly committed suicide on Saturday nightShe was said to have Jumped into River Niger at about 9pm after she allegedly cursed her accusers.

DAILY POST gathered that the food vendor, Stella Ndukwe’s decision to take her life was informed by the accusation that she was a witch.

The said allegation was raised by her ex-boyfriend penultimate Thursday after what was alleged to be a verbal crossfire over his continued weak erection after theyhad separated.

Sources said Stella was once accused of witchcraft two years ago in her hometown, Adaezi nuku in Anambra state by her cousin, an accusation which allegedly informed her exit from the community to move into Asaba where she was employed as a sales girl.

Those in the know said Stella got financial support from her ex-boyfriend, a trailer driver who plies the Eastern part often to Rivers, Calabar and others to open a mini restaurant within the head bridge.

But her Joy of being gradually becoming successful was cut short as her food center which used to be beehive of sales, became desolated.

She was said to have returned to the use of wheelbarrow to sell her food after things became difficult.

Her friend, Sarah Akowe who spoke to DAILY POST in Asaba said
“She told me that she was fed up because her business was no longer moving as it used to be, more so people call her a witch, even her ex-boyfriend called her a witch.

She also told me her cousin had once called her a witch in the village, hence she moved out to Asaba through a friend.

”Family sources said Stella lost her both parents when she was eight years and as a result could not continue her education, instead was subjected to farm works by her uncle who later died in a motor accident leaving seven children behind.

To eke a living for herself, Stella was said to have taken to street Hawking of pure water, others but was accused of killing herboth parents including her uncle on the fateful day by her cousin after a minor disagreement.But some police officers at the Head bridge Police Division who Spoke to DAILY POST on condition of anonymity said,

” We were told a girl jumped into the River Niger in the night, we are investigating the matter, we were told by the people around that a young girl was by the river Bank, and after speaking for sometime jumped into the river.

”Some residents of the area who spoke to DAILY POST on condition of anonymity said,

” The girl we saw before nightfall was the food vendor, we are sure she is the person who jumped into the river. It is all frustration we guess.”
