Okorocha Wins Imo APC Senatorial Ticket

Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial ticket for Imo West Senatorial district.

Okorocha polled 141,117 votes to defeat his opponent Senator Hope Uzodinma who got 1,359 votes.

The two-term governor of the state will be representing Imo West (Orlu Zone) Senatorial district if he wins in the forthcoming 2019 election.

Okorocha, however, praised the electoral committee for conducting and ensuring a peaceful and credible primary.

“All we have been saying in Imo State is give us a free and fair primary election,” Okorocha said.

“Our party must know that there is no alternative to proper internal democracy,” he added.
