Nigeria Petroleum Development Company/ND Western joint venture, operator of OML 34 AMT, has flagged off free community health outreach for four host communities in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State.
The free medical outreach which started yesterday at Otu-Jeremi Health Centre will also be extended to the other three health facilities supported/sponsored by the JV at Ekakpamre, Effurun-Otor and Okpare Health Centre, in order to improve the wellbeing of the host communities.
Speaking at the flag-off, the Chief Operating Officer, COO, Chief Edirin Abamwa, who was represented by Mr Sheidu Aiguedo, Manager, Government/Community Relations and Security, said the four supported health facilities were conceived, built and operated over the years by the JV via a tri-partite agreement.
He noted that part of the agreement was for JV to build, manage and maintain the facilities.
