Hon. Pharm. Obinna Emeneka on Saturday extended his philanthropic gesture to the sick. Most people present at the Immaculate Heart Hospital Aguleri, venue of Hon. Pharm. Obinna Emeneka’s Free Medical Outreach could not hold back their tears when a sick old woman that was given a wheelchair by Hon. Emeneka broke down in tears alongside her only daughter.
Fielding questions from journalists, the woman opined that Hon. Obinna Emeneka has taken away a huge burden from her which none of her family members cared about.
Speaking further the Septugenerian in tears of joy prayed God to continue to bless Ijele Omabala and all that concerns him.
Over 400 men and women of diverse age bracket and health conditions benefited from the Free Medical Outreach. Free Tests, Free Consultations and Free drugs were administered to the patients who defied the heavy downpour to be at the venue as early as 8am.
When the Medical Team paid a courtesy call on the Traditional Ruler of Aguleri HRH Igwe Christopher Idigo (Ogalagidi), the Monarch praised Hon. Emeneka who he addressed as his Son that is doing a great job for his constituency. He thanked Ijele for the idea of bringing health care down to the grassroots in Anambra East constituency.
The acting President General of Aguleri, Chief Emma Ikem(Akaekpuchionwa Aguleri ) also welcomed the People ‘s Legislator to Aguleri community and thanked him for his selfless service to his constituents. Some other dignitaries who eulogised Hon. Emeneka at the Outreach include Chief Willie Okafor (Ataata Aguleri ) and Chief Onochie (Ozuomee Aguleri) .
In his own remarks Hon.Emeneka thanked Aguleri people (the 4th community in 2018 series), for their warm reception and overwhelming support for him since 2011.He reminded his audience of the need for regular checkups and healthy living.
The Legislator also, thanked Aguleri community for producing a great Leader like His Excellency Chief Willie Obiano (Akpokuodike) that is making Omabala people proud.
The beneficiaries sang praises to God for the gift of a rare breed of Representative like Hon. Emeneka who they said has positively touched their lives, and prayed God to bless his endeavours.
