Kylian Mbappe has dismissed suggestions that he has overtaken Neymar as Paris Saint-Germain’s star man, after his double secured a 3-1 win at Guingamp.
Mbappe, who won the 2018 World Cup with France, netted twice as PSG completed a second half comeback to secure the win on Saturday.
“Neymar is a superstar, much more of star than me,” he said in his post-match interview on the pitch with RMC.
“I am not at that level yet. He has worked many years at Barca to prove that and we have many players in this squad who are superstars.”
Mbappe replaced Timothy Weah at the start of the second half as the Ligue 1 champions took control of the match.
Neymar won a penalty kick in the 53rd minute and converted it to equalise, before the Frenchman’s double.
