A former Manchester United defender, Wes Brown, has said that the club’s players will be up to task as they face Juventus in the Champions League Group H on Tuesday.
Juventus are in Manchester to trade tackles with the the Red Devils, who have four points from their two opening group games.
But Brown has now stated that United can beat Cristiano Ronaldo-led Juve.
Brown, who played alongside Ronaldo at United, is backing his old club to come out on top if every player puts in a strong performance.
“It’s one of those games where the players have to step up,” Brown told talkSPORTS.
“With the quality Juventus have, all the players will have to step up.
“They will wake up today knowing that, they know what’s at stake.
“These nights are special and I’ve played in games where people didn’t think we were going to get anything at Old Trafford.
“It’s going to be tough but I know they can do it.”
