Former Arsenal striker, Charlie Nicholas has predicted that Liverpool would play a 2-2 draw against Paris Saints-Germain in today’s UEFA Champions League clash at Anfield.
Nicholas, however, tipped PSG forward, Neymar and Liverpool striker, Roberto Firmino to score for their teams.
Liverpool head to the game following a 2-1 victory against Tottenham Hotspur in their last Premier League encounter played over the weekend.
PSG, on the other hand, defeated St Etienne 4-0 in their last Ligue 1 fixture on Friday.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Nicholas said: “It is an absolute belter of a game in all honesty. PSG, on their day, are probably as good as you have ever seen and I include Barcelona in that. They just do not quite do it all the time, as regularly as Barca did in the past.
“Liverpool more than deserved to win at the weekend but I do not think it was as sparkling up front as what it has been. Salah is just a little bit edgy and a little bit self-indulgent in certain circumstances, whereas last season his awareness was better.
“There will be so many superstar footballers on this pitch. Liverpool could actually play this like a counter-attack game because PSG are so open, but I am guaranteeing goals here. I am going for 2-2 and Neymar and Roberto Firmino both to score.”
The kick-off time is 8pm.
