Popular Nigerian music record label, MAVIN records’ new act, Rema has shared how classic Nigerian singer, KCee motivated him with a backstage photo about 3 years ago in Benin City.
According to the budding singing sensation, the gesture went a long way to motivate him to become what he is today – he took to his Twitter page to recount how there was a Deja Vu three after he met with KCee backstage.
He wrote,
3 years ago I met Kcee backstage in Benin and I asked for a pic and he gladly accepted, I was really motivated after that pic, it meant alot. Last night I met him backstage and I told him about 3 years ago and he told me how proud he is to see how far I’ve come. Respect LEGEND 🙏🏾
The fast rising singer recently made history as the first Nigerian artist to debut five top songs on Apple Music. He excitedly shared the news on his Twitter and Instagram pages.
He said,
“1 kid. Number 1&2 album on @applemusic. 5 songs on the top 100 chart. Number 2, 3, 7, 8 and 9 including 4 trap songs.
“This has never happened in the history of the Nigerian music industry. Check the statistics, no cap.”
He most definitely is ready to take the Nigerian music scene by storm and he has just the right team to help him with that.
