A former Aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has taken a swipe at President Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Mallam Abba Kyari over controversy surrounding his WAEC certificate.

Fani-Kayode in a post on his Twitter page queried why Kyari, said to be ‘brilliant’, was working with the president whom he described as being ‘so limited and fraudulent’.

The PDP chieftain described Kyari’s position as a mystery, while insisting that Buhari’s certificate was forged.

He wrote: “I studied at Cambridge Univ. in 1984 with Abba Kyari,Pres. Buhari’s Chief of Staff. We sat next to each other during our final exams and I can confirm that he is brilliant.

“He also worked in my fathers law firm “Fani-Kayode and Sowemino” for years and he was one of our brightest.

“How a brilliant man like that can end up working for a man who is so limited, who has no WAEC certificate and whose only educational qualification is a fraudulently procured and fake “attestation” certificate is beyond me. It is a mystery. It is the 8th wonder of the world.”

Buhari on Friday, in Abuja received the attestation and confirmation of his 1961 West African School Certificate (WASC) Examination.

The documents were presented to him at State House during a courtesy visit by a delegation of WAEC led by its Registrar, Dr Iyi Uwadiae, accompanied by Olutise Adenipekun, Head, National Office, Abiodun Aduloju, Head Public Affairs, and Olufemi Oke, Zonal Coordinator, Abuja.
