EPL: Chelsea put in offer for Asensio

Chelsea have an offer on the table for Real Madrid midfielder, Marco Asensio, reports Don Balon.

The 22-year-old has emerged as one of European football’s top young talents and is being courted by a few big teams on the continent.

Real are now aware that they are going to have to dig deep in contract talks, in order to fend off interest from afar.

Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri, is keen to bring Asensio to Stamford Bridge, especially with Eden Hazard’s future at the club uncertain.

Hazard was heavily linked with a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, but the Blues failed to find a replacement for the Belgium forward.

It is understood that a swap deal involving both players remain a possibility.
