South Africa vs Nigeria: Ezekwesili hails Super Eagles, hints on her plans for sports if elected

Oby Ezekwesili, the presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), has said her administration will promote sports in Nigeria if she wins the 2019 election.

Ezekwesili said this while commending the Super Eagles over their qualification for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Nigeria on Saturday qualified for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, following a 1-1 draw with South Africa on Saturday.

In a post on her Twitter page, Ezekwesili promised Super Eagles that her administration will promote opportunities for sportsmen to excel.

She wrote: “Huge congratulations to our Super Eagles who have confirmed their spot at the AFCON 2019.

“Your cheering compatriots are counting on you to go a step ahead and continue working hard to bring the cup home once again.

“You folks should know by now that all Sports administration will receive a profound overhaul under our ACPN hope administration.

“Government Bureaucracy cannot go and kill our Sports. Freedom to excel shall be given to Sportsmen and women as obtained in other countries in my adminstration.”
