EPL: Klopp gives latest injury update on his players ahead of Huddersfield clash
Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has provided injury update on some of his players ahead of his side’s Premier League clash with Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
According to Klopp, midfielder Naby Keita will not feature for the visitors, while defender Virgil van Dijk has recovered from a ribs problem.
He, however, said that the rest of his players were ready for the clash against Town, adding that he would make decision on how ready they are.
“A few of the boys trained and we will see what they reacted after that. Pretty sure that Naby will not be available,” Metro UK quoted Klopp as saying.
“Football players play very often with some kind of pain. He [Van Dijk] has no problems with that (his ribs) any more.
“We know what they [international players] did intensity-wise during the week. We can watch the games but what they do in training you cannot know.
“We cannot ignore the travelling when you fly overnight and change time zones two or three times in eight or nine days.
“They are ready but I have to make a decision how ready they are.”
The kick-off time for the match is 5:30pm.
