Daily Post staff, Yemi Itodo emerges Abuja NUJ correspondent chapel chairman

A member of staff of Daily Post, and National Assembly Correspondent of has emerged chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Correspondents’ chapel in Abuja.

At an elective congress held in NUJ secretariat of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja on Saturday, Itodo was returned unopposed, after his opponent, Phillip Nyam was disqualified.

Earlier before the election, the credential committee chairman, Anderson Osiebe, said “Philip Nyam was disqualified due to the failure to appear before the screening committee, and his name was not even found on the list of Journalists that were screened for the election.

Other officials that were returned at the congress include Collins Ajibade as Vice Chairman, Raphael Oni as Secretary, Lesley Otu as Treasurer and Samson Adebayo as Auditor.
