EPL: Emery blames Arsenal player for 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace

Arsenal manager, Unai Emery has singled out his striker, Alexandre Lacazette, for blames following their 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The Spaniard said he was unhappy with the Frenchman’s ‘mistakes’ during the game.

Lacazette found it difficult to make an impact at Selhurst Park while fans were unhappy that Emery did not substitute the French striker in the second half.

Arsenal had come from behind to go 2-1 ahead, following goals from Granit Xhaka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

But Crystal Palace’s Luka Milivojevic converted his second penalty of the afternoon with seven minutes remaining to rescue a point for Palace

After Palace equalised, Emery grabbed Lacazette’s face on the touchline and shouted at the striker.

Asked about his confrontation with Lacazette after the match, Emery told Sky Sports, “We can’t do the mistakes on the pitch.

“In the second half Lacazette was a bit less in his thinking, I was wanting him to find that.

“When we are in the box I want the players to take the responsibility to take the action

“When we were 2-2, I wanted to push for that [win].”
