Hauwa Liman: Gov. Dankwambo, Senator Sani speak out
The Governor of Gombe State, Ibrahim Dankwambo and Senator representing Kaduna Central district, Shehu Sani, have expressed sadness over the execution of Hauwa Liman.
DAILY POST reported earlier that the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), a faction of Boko Haram, had executed Hauwa Leman, an aide worker with the International Committee of the Red Cross, ICRC.
Governor Dankwambo, while commiserating with the family of the diceased, totally condemned the gruesome execution of the worker by the terrorists.
Dankwambo tweeted, “I am so devastated to hear about the brutal murder of Hauwa Liman, a humanitarian aid worker with @ICRC by Boko Haram.
“My sincere condolences to the family of the young, promising woman so devoted and dedicated to helping others.”
On his part, Senator Shehu Sani said Ms Liman was a martyr of peace and a light that shined over the dark corners of Nigeria.
“Her cruel murder stands unreservedly condemned.
She was a martyr of peace. ‘She paid the ultimate price in the service of humanity.
“She epitomized courage, resilience and sacrifice.
“She was a light that shined over the dark corners of our country. May Allah grant her peace,” he wrote.
