Manchester City vs Lyon: Team news, injuries, possible lineups

Manchester City will Wednesday take on Lyon in the UEFA Champions League Group F clash at the Etihad Stadium.

City head to the game following a 3-0 victory against Fulham in their last Premier League encounter played at the weekend.

Apart from Benjamin Mendy, who is still battling with match fitness, City manager, Pep Guardiola has no new injuries worries in his squad ahead of the clash.

Forward Leroy Sane took advantage of his return to first-team action by netting an early opener against the Cottagers, but since rotation is the order of the day for Guardiola, Riyad Mahrez could be brought back in.

Meanwhile, Lyon head to the game following a 2-2 draw against Caen in their last Ligue 1 encounter on Saturday.

Tonight’s clash will be the first ever meeting between Lyon and City in European competition.

Striker Moussa Dembele may return for the visitors after the Frenchman played the full 90 minutes on his debut against Caen at the weekend.
