2019: Nwachuku declares for president, says country needs experienced youth

As the 2019 elections draw closer, Chuks Nwachuku has called for a paradigm shift from the mindset of looking to politicians for money during political campaigns. Nwachuku, presidential aspirant under the All Grassroots Alliance (AGA), pointed out that the major challenges he faces include the personality-based nature of Nigerian politics and the monetization of the Nigerian psyche, stressing that, “there is no dearth of issues in our politics but Nigerians simply follow personalities that happen upon the political scene due to ethnic, religious and other sentimental consideration.”
According to him, President Buhari, whom he supported and campaigned for during the last elections, has proven to be a wrong choice. Nwachuku emphasised that he was not vying for the position because he wanted to be rich or famous, but to realise his vision of a prosperous, democratic, caring and confident Nigeria; adding that his government will not only fight corruption, but effectively tackle elements that breed corruption.
He added that he would enforce public declaration of assets and liabilities of public office holders and abolish discriminatory salary and wages system, ensure national unity on the basis of justice and equitable political and social and economic opportunities for all citizens.
