Gaidam nominates APC national secretary as successor

Yobe State Governor, Ibrahim Gaidam has nominated the National Secretary of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Mai Mala Buni as his preferred candidate for the 2019 gubernatorial election in the state.

Secretary of Yobe APC, Abubakar Bakabe announced this yesterday in an interview with journalists in Damaturu, the state capital. He said the Governor had officially submitted the name of Buni as the anointed candidate to fly the party’s flag in next year’s elections.

APC Stakeholders had on Thursday, mandated the governor at their meeting to nominate a credible successor, who would continue with development policies and programs of his administration.

There was jubilation from party supporters in the streets of the state capital, over Buni’s nomination as the flag bearer as they expressed optimism that there would be continuity in the various development programs initiated by Gaidam.
