EPL: Gullit blames 2 Chelsea stars for 2-2 draw with Man United
A former Chelsea midfielder, Ruud Gullit, has blamed Chelsea stars, Eden Hazard and Willian over Chelsea’s failure to defeat Manchester United in their Premier League clash on Saturday.
According to him, Hazard and Willian do not trust their striker, Alvaro Morata and refused to pass to him.
The 56-year-old manager said the pair always failed to link up with Morata in the 2-2 draw with Manchester United.
The 25-year-old has scored just twice in eight Premier League appearances this season and has often been overlooked for Olivier Giroud.
And Gullit said Morata’s form is suffering because of his team-mate’s reluctance to get him involved in games.
“They don’t come into any positions where they create anything for him,” he told Express Sports.
“The worst part is you can see Willian and Hazard always dribble inside because they don’t trust him.
“It is difficult for a striker to play with these two who go inside all the time, you don’t know where to go.
“But also when the crosses are in, I think there was a moment in the first half where you asked ‘where is Morata’, he wasn’t there. So they don’t trust him.”
