Arsenal legend, Paul Merson has predicted that Manchester United will defeat Tottenham Hotspurs by 2 goals to 1 in Monday’s Premier League fixture.
United head to the game following a 3-2 loss to Brighton last weekend, while Spurs defeated Fulham 3-1 at home.
“Huge match,” Merson told Sky Sport, adding “over the last three or four years, you see Manchester United turn it on in these type of games, when the pressure is on. They’ve done it to Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, everyone.
“I don’t know how they do it. I’ve seen this so many times. Jose Mourinho will tell them to go out and prove they’re good enough to play for the biggest club in the world. Because that’s what they are, in my opinion Jose Mourinho’s team will get the better of Tottenham 2-1.”
The match will take place at the Old Trafford Stadium and the kick off time is 8pm.
