Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has identified Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera for praise following his side’s Premier League 4-1 victory over Fulham on Saturday.
Goals from Ashley Young, Juan Mata, Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford gave Mourinoh’s men a deserve three points against the hosts.
Mourinho said Matic and Herrera played very well against the visitors, adding that the pair had strong mentality.
“Sometimes you have teams that are positionally good, ready to press and with a desire to press and I think these two boys Matic and Herrera have really strong mentality,” Mourinho was quoted by ESPN as saying after the match.
“It is the way they play football, to play at the top of their level and then the people in front of them were good also in that.
“The first half was good at every level. When you run like Matic and Herrera against Arsenal it is natural today the intensity goes a little bit down — but a good result, good performance and individual performances.”
Mourinho’s side now sit on sixth positions on the Premier League table with 26 points from 16 games.
The Red Devils will now tackle Liverpool next week Sunday in the Premier League fixture.
