EPL: Paul Merson predicts where Unai Emery’s Arsenal will finish this season

Former Arsenal player, Paul Merson has predicted where manager, Unai Emery’s side will finish this season on the English Premier League, EPL, table.

Arsenal finished in fifth and sixth place under former Gunners boss, Arsene Wenger’s final two EPL season at the Emirates.

Merson, however, believes that the North London club, under the guidance of Emery can finish on the top four positions this season.

“At the start of the season, I don’t think anyone would have given them a shot of finishing in the top four, but Emery has given them a chance at least, it could happen,” Merson told Sky Sports.

“He’s a good manager and he needs a couple of windows. In time he will bring in his players. They’re a long way from Manchester City, but they will be more competitive.”

Emery’s men are currently occupying the fourth position on the English topflight log this campaign, with 22 points from 10 games.

Arsenal will take on Liverpool on Saturday evening in the Premier League fixture at Emirates.
