OWODE- THE Baba Adinni of Yewa land in Ogun State, Hon. Abiodun Akinlade, has felicitated with Muslims in Ogun State on the occasion of the 2018 Eid-el-Kabir celebration, saying that it’s a season of sharing and sacrifice.
Akinlade, who is a leading governorship aspirant in Ogun State on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), said the celebration typifies faithful and total submission to the will of Allah as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim who was prepared to offer his son as an act of worship of Allah (SWT) and must be emulated.
In a statement issued in Owode, Ogun State, Akinlade, who is a former House of Representatives member for Yewa South/Ipokia federal constituency between 2003 and 2015, said Muslims in the state should be steadfast in their prayers and positively impact on their neighbours and the larger society.
While urging Muslim faithful and other residents of the state to continue praying for the state governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, the guber aspirant said the governor is the father of modern Ogun State, adding that he is ready to consolidate the giant strides of the incumbent administration through a sustainable continuity.
Stating that his SHARP agenda is an all-inclusive programme for residents of the state, Akinlade said he will build on the successes of the current administration.
According to him, Ogun State now has a new and better outlook courtesy of the giant strides of Governor Amosun, adding that, “I will build on what Governor Amosun has done, he has opened a new vista for our state and his name is already in the annals of history of Ogun State.”
