NNEWI—ARCHBISHOP Metropolitan and Primate of All Nigeria, Most Rev. Nicholas Okoh yesterday in Onitsha, Anambra State, told politicians in Nigeria that defecting from one party to another would not solve their problems and that of the country.
Archbishop Okoh said this in All Saints Cathedral Onitsha during the Holy Communion and 50th Birthday, thanksgiving of wife of Bishop on the Niger, Dr. Mrs. Elsie Nwokolo, and dedication of Mary Sumner House, at the Cathedral.
The Archbishop who was represented by his wife Mrs Nkasiobi Okoh and Bishop David Onuoha, urged politicians to instead of defecting from one party to other, should work for the people and offer thanksgiving to God for all He had done for them and the country.
According to him, “When you do not give thanksgiving to God, you will continue to have problems, but when you give God thanksgiving for all he has done for you, he will always solve your problems. Defecting from one political party to another is not the Salvation for politicians and the country, but rather doing the right thing to the people and thanking God for what he has done for them and the country.”
