EPL: Pogba blames Mourinho for Man United’s 1-1 with Wolves at Old Trafford

Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba has blamed the club’s manager, Jose Mourinho for their 1-1 draw with Wolves at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Manchester United have won only three of their opening six matches in the Premier League this season.

United were held at Old Trafford by newly-promoted Wolves after Joao Moutinho cancelled out Fred’s opener.

Mourinho had earlier expressed disappointment in his players after the game, and singled out Pogba for blames following his mistake that led to the Wolves’ equalizer.

However, Pogba believes Mourinho’s cautious game plan was what hurted them most.

“We are at home and we should play much better against Wolves,” the Frenchman was quoted by Metro.

“When we are at home we should attack, attack, attack. That’s Old Trafford. We are here to attack.

“I think teams are scared when they see Man United attacking and attacking. That was our mistake.

“Maybe the attitude should be better and we should play better because, again, we are at Old Trafford and we should just attack and press like we did against Tottenham, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal last season.

“When we play like this it’s easier for us.”

Asked why the Red Devils failed to pose more of a threat to Wolves, Pogba added, “I can’t tell you because I’m a player – it’s not me.

“I’m not the manager, I cannot say that, but obviously we should show more option of playing, but I cannot say that because I’m a player.

“That’s my way of thinking – we should move better, we should move more.”
